Oh, it goes back further than that. We had litter pickups in the 1960s, and I recall ordering pamphlets from Pueblo, Colorado, in the 1970s for a class presentation on the causes of water pollution. But the problem is that taking care of our planet is bigger than any one person, so we need to up the effort, because it's coming to bite us in the butt faster than we ever imagined.
