When the Resistance came to Toonville the rich and greedy toons were the first to go, but kindly old Scrooge McDuck didn't deserve his fate. It's true that he had billions of dollars worth of gold coins stashed in a vault which he swam around in like a money pool, and it's true that one thousandth of that fortune could have fed the entirety of Toonville for years to come. But Scrooge didn't mean any harm, he just started collecting money and didn't know when to stop, he certainly wasn't going to start slapping his name on every hotel he owned or product he released. And he certainly didn't start a for profit "university" that actively ripped off students with his name on it, that would have been shameful! No, Scrooge wasn't like those other billionaire buffoons, and even old Daddy Warbucks didn't have a heart as pure as Scrooge, but that didn't stop the Resistance from roasting him up and serving him on a platter!
