Monsters Ink Mike by Scott Neilson
When Mike and Sully imagined a career in scaring they didn't think about longevity or a future where kids became desensitized to monsters, so five years in to the gig they found themselves laid off. Sully quickly found a job as a bouncer, which ended up being the perfect gig for him, but poor Mike was left wondering what to do with his life. One day he was sitting at the bar doodling on a cocktail napkin when a biker beastman came up to him and asked him if he'd ever done any tattoos, since he was about to open a tattoo shop in Monstropolis. Mike's great big eye got teary, and he gave the beastman a hug even though he smelled like a dirty goat, and Mike once again had his future laid out for him by a happy accident.
