We were foolish to think the Captain would stay with us forever, and for all the good he did on this planet he could never seem to get the balance right. He'd championed the use of good ecological judgment, recycling, and proper waste disposal, but in the end his very cleanliness is what killed him. It turns out the Captain's strange blue body was fueled by toxic waste- his lungs were fueled by smog, his veins were made to pump pure poison through his heart, and his stomach demanded a diet of radioactive waste. As he removed these things from the Earth he also removed his power source, sacrificing himself for the good of humanity. His final words- the power is yours...to kill me!
