2-Person Pinball

Asbury Park is a town in New Jersey. From the 1920s through the 1970s, it was a famous tourist destination with a beach, boardwalks, casinos, and theaters. Among its remaining gems is the Siver Ball Museum, a huge classic arcade with hundreds of vintage video games and pinball machines.

Matthew Hawkins, a video game designer and gaming journalist, visited the Silver Ball in October. He played on many of the machines there and took a lot of pictures, including one of this rarity: a 2-person pinball game. Here's how it works:

Each player takes turns as either offense or defense, which is made possible by the board changing its angle between “rounds”, much like a seesaw. Brilliant idea on paper, but not so much in execution…
