The interwebs are teeming with life hacks, and yet it seems like the more of these little tips and tricks we read the less we remember them all, or any at all, when you're in need of a life hack solution to a problem.
That’s usually because the hack in question was created to solve a virtually nonexistent problem, and remembering a hack you hardly ever use is a waste of good brain space!

Most of these are useful, and some I've done all my life. But putting pancake batter in a ketchup bottle is way more trouble than it's worth. I just mix my batter up in a two- or four-cup measuring cup (instead of a mixing bowl) and pour from the spout.

I am so sick of the term 'hack' being used for things which are re-purposed or creatively reused. A 'hack', as originally used, meant illegally or improperly using or accessing a computer or network system, not just tying a knot in a damn extension cord!
