Functional Elliptical Trainer Made of Cardboard

Luanga Nuwame is a cardboard craftsman. He can make just about anything out of cardboard, including a Groot, a sundial, and a rocking chair.

Nuwame's latest challenge is his most demanding. He built an articulated elliptical trainer workout machine using nothing but cardboard and glue. It can move and support his weight. He used 9 layers of double corrugated cardboard as material. But even that wouldn't be enough to hold his weight if he hadn't designed the balance perfectly. Nuwame writes:

Cardboard can only take so much downward pressure and uniform balance is the key. Once on and balance is kept, the machine performs as designed. There are still more improvements to be made, but at least I can say that, “YES, it is possible to make a functioning elliptical out of cardboard!” (…not like anyone was asking)

I love the guy in the sedan who comes out, looks at the SUV like "what the HELL are you doing?", jumps in his car and casually backs out & pulls away in one smooth move while the dumbass in the SUV is still backing and forth-ing. Makes you wonder how some people actually manage to get a license in the first place!
