How big of a home can you rent for $1,000? It depends on where you want to live. In New York City, you can get maybe a room with a sink, if you’re lucky. Where I live, you can have my 11-room +3 bath house for $1,000 a month, and I’ll take that rent money and buy three other houses with it.
