Former Army Staff Sgt. Ryan M. Pitts received the Medal of Honor on Monday from President Obama for his action during a battle in Afghanistan. The New York Stock Exchange invited him up to open their trading session Wednesday by banging the gavel. Pitts did that, all right, but he is apparently stronger than the folks who normally wield the gavel. He knocked three times, and broke it clean off! The look on his face is priceless -as if he’d be in trouble for damaging equipment. It’s Wall Street, not the military, so the only result was a great gif.
