Do You Love Science?

In just the last few days, the last line of this comic from Cyanide & Happiness has already become internet shorthand for the entire concept. Science is likened to relationships -you can look at someone’s butt as they walk by and appreciate the view, or you can wake up next to the same person for years, even on days when he/she doesn’t look that attractive.

There’s a difference between enjoying science headlines and actively supporting scientific research by advocating adequate funding and engendering interest in science among young people. If you really love science, what have you done for science today?  -via Ed Yong
