The JunkYard Music Box

(YouTube link)

Musical instrument builder Tom Kaufmann shows us the JunkYard Music Box, a massive musical installation he took to ArtPrize 2012 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It’s an “automated, human powered musical sculpture, made entirely of recycled materials.” The kids had a wonderful time playing it -or playing on it, or with it- anyway, they had a great time!

Kaufmann also makes the personal musical sculptures called Your Name Rings a Bell. My kids and I all have them!

Previously: Tom Kaufmann's Glockenspiel made of rocks.
