This short film by Big Lazy Robot VFX pokes fun at our obsessions with mobile gadgets and apps -particularly the iPhone- by showing little robots using them.

Luxury cars with powerful engines to drive through roads under severe speed restrictions, cable TV that allows us to pay to watch all kind of sports, all from our comfortable sofa, and of course, hyper expensive cell phones that do almost everything but making a decent phone call.

Yes, our happiness is based on things we don’t need and governed by entities we don’t control, so what? Sit down and turn on the tv!

What he means is, sit down and watch TV until it's time to stand in line to pay for the newest version of your gadget! -via Tastefully Offensive

Now who would think of that...!

I'd like to see Monty Pythons Fish Slapping Dance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhJQp-q1Y1s&feature=fvst performed by the original Star Trek crew...

But those fragments from Star Trek also do show how things have changed since then in the depiction of science fiction...

Can anyone tell me what episode is happening at 1:11? i swear that looks like a young Picard that is being fought, and I'd like to figure it out :)

Cobaltblaze, that ain't no young-looking Patrick Stewart there. That's the one where they all live underground in an asteroid, and McCoy's dying and falls in love with the High Priestess. There's a little more just after that shot that's from the same episode. The episode title ends "I have touched the sky".
