This little guy needed a lift, so rather than hitchhike, he just decided to jump on board and hope his cuteness would keep him afloat. Needless to say, his plan worked.

My first thought if a wild animal is that friendly is rabies...but I think the deal is that's a tour of some kind and that koala probably gets fed by tourists and has lost his fear.

I thought he might have a predator after him as well. If that's the case, then it's just as much the good fortune of the koala as well as the people the boat.

I remember reading that the ones in the zoos have high levels of chlamydia, and the ones in the wild are much less likely to carry it, so hopefully he's safe there.
