The Feather Book

In 1618, the chief Gardener of the state of Milan, Dionisio Minaggio, make a book in which the illustrations were made of feathers! Most of the illustrations are of birds; other pictures depict people in different occupations of the day. The book now belongs to the McGill University Library collection, but you can see every page online. Link -via Carl Zimmer
