Was The Prometheus Design Team Inspired By SpongeBob?

This split image pretty much speaks for itself, and the characters do seem to share a rather distinctive head shape/profile, but did the design team behind Prometheus really draw inspiration from this obscure character featured on SpongeBob SquarePants?

There's no way to know for sure, but it's fun to think that the concept artists were hanging out watching Nickelodeon when they found a character design that struck their fancy.

And we all know that SpongeBob is the cornerstone of creative character design, right? *wink*

Of course it cóuld be possible. I, on the other hand suspect the more obvious explanation of ancient greek marble statues with exaggerated muscles. Also, the movie is called Prometheus...which finds its origin in that era as well

Yes, this mirrors my own research on moths, which demonstrates that their main habitat is the immediate vicinity of candle flames and lightbulbs.

Seems to me, since skunks are more commonly around smaller country roads, there should at least be some varieties with yellow stripes rather than white. :)

Come one poeple. If you didn't know this was a joke, then I invite you to help me hunt some snipes, hoop snakes and some jack-o-lopes. Also, did you know that cows that graze on the side of a hill have shorter legs on one side?

Travis, this was written by my father, drawing by my sister, and yes, it is a joke. It makes me really sad that you didn't know for sure that it was. Sure it is stupid, it was meant to be. What kind of researcher would use a song as their only proof of a theory? I'm going to go cry for you.
