Using Super Mario Bros. to Explain Medieval Manuscript Illumination

No, you're not looking at a secret level in a Super Mario game. This is a picture of a medieval illuminated manuscript with a touch of photoshoppery applied. Carl Pyrdum, a medieval scholar, uses our friendly plumber to explain the artistic norms of the medium:

In order to keep the man and his goat in the middle from falling right on through the bottom of the page, the artist draws in little patches of ground beneath them.** Mario, no stranger to platforms that hang in the air as if bolted to the background, would feel right at home with this arrangement.

Give that dude a show. In fact, give him either The Office or Lost, maybe I can stand to look at those if he's in them. At the very least, remake Ironside with him in the lead.

I would definitely watch his show. This guy is genuinely hilarious and has charisma pouring out of him. One thing is certain, though; this is no pity vote. This guy deserves it disability aside.

CP is usually a birth defect/injury.

Humor aside, his show idea is new and something that ISN'T on TV yet, and could reach an untapped audience. If Zack doesn't get his show, i'm guessing we'll see a knock off in the next year or two.

It's not all jokes about his disability. Best line in the video: "No Atlantis is too underwater or fictional." Nothing to do with his CP. He's just genuinely funny.
