Pro Tip: If a Cop Pulls You Over, Don't Try to Give Him a High Five

If you have an encounter with the police, be polite and maybe even friendly. But don't get too informal, as one man in Pennsylvania did when an officer pulled him over for driving without his lights on:

Officer Adam Bonsell says Decker told him, "Thanks, buddy," and tried to high-five him. Bonsell told him, "That's not how it works" and gave Decker field sobriety tests.

Police say Decker's blood-alcohol content was 2 1/2 times the legal limit for drivers.

It's a thing for getting Boy Scouts out of Girl Guide tents.

These days they're part of the Scout Master's penknife, but this was from the Good Old Days when men were men, boys were boys and Girl Guides had strong thighs and wouldn't let go.

My guess it's a device for cutting into people's skulls (trepanation, I think its called). They used to do this in ancient Egypt and sometimes in the middle ages to cure people from mental illnesses...

This is a betchel key. Before the popularity of gunpowder in the military field, torsion spring siege devices were very popular. However, on rare occasions peace would break out just as medievel artillarists were prepared to fire. What to do? Its very difficult to unload a cocked trebuchet. This device solved the proble. you simply inserted it in the paul socket and slowqly unwound the torsion arm.

More often though, the srtillarist would just yell 'WHAT?' feigning momentary deafness, and pull the trigger lever.

I think its a deearor I think I spelled that wrong but after you kill a deer you insert that into the anus and twist so you can pull out the intestines and feces without having to worry about nicking while butchering the animal
