This is what I look like after a night of hardcore blogging. To be fair, a dog this lazy could only belong to a lazy person who obviously didn't want to bother cleaning up the spilled food himself.

Maybe it's a husky thing. Ours rarely stands when eating. She'll either lay on her stomach with her head in the bowl or tip over the bowl so the food spills out and do this same thing. If she's in an "active" mood, she takes out the kibble, walks a couple feet away, drops it on the floor, lays down, and then eats it. I don't even question it anymore. (and while I'm not lazy, it is nice to have an electricity-free vacuum in the house)

Our husky does that too. She also tends to sit at her bowl to eat. I'm sure she'd be laying down if it was on the floor though.
