We've got human rights, animal rights, ... but what about the rights of Mother Earth? That's right - Bolivia has just drafted a United Nations treaty giving "Mother Earth" the same rights as humans:
The bid aims to have the UN recognize the Earth as a living entity that humans have sought to "dominate and exploit" — to the point that the "well-being and existence of many beings" is now threatened.
The wording may yet evolve, but the general structure is meant to mirror Bolivia's Law of the Rights of Mother Earth, which Bolivian President Evo Morales enacted in January.
That document speaks of the country's natural resources as "blessings," and grants the Earth a series of specific rights that include rights to life, water and clean air; the right to repair livelihoods affected by human activities; and the right to be free from pollution.
It also establishes a Ministry of Mother Earth, and provides the planet with an ombudsman whose job is to hear nature's complaints as voiced by activist and other groups, including the state.

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee;
And the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee;
Or speak to the Earth, and she shall teach thee,
And the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
Who knoweth not in all these
that the hand of the Lord hath wrought them:
In whose hand
Is the soul of every living thing,
And the breath of all mankind.
Job 12:7-10
For ye shall go out with ajoy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the wood shall clap their hands. ISAIAH 55 :12
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. Rev. 11:18
I personally like the first verse. It states that the Earth could teach us a whole lot if we werent so damn arrogant to think we already know it. AND GOD COUNSELLS US TO TALK TO HER... not treat her like a testtube but TALK.... even God know he created her sentient... living... being..... !
That's pretty much the way it was written in Thomas:
What is the bridal chamber, if not the place of trust and consciousness in the embrace? It is an icon of Union, beyond all forms of possession; here is where the veil is torn from top to bottom; here is where some arise and awaken.
