World's Largest Dodgeball Game

(YouTube Link)

On Feb. 5th, 1,200 students, staff, and faculty at the University of Alberta played the world's largest game of dodgeball:

Although it will be several months before officials from the Guinness World Records verify the accomplishment, organizers say the noon-hour dodgeball game in the Butterdome was the largest the world has ever seen.

The group shattered the former record of a 450-person game and easily reached its goal of attracting more than 1,000 players. via Urlesque

Holy cow! I'm on Neatorama! I wish it were for creating cold fusion, or maybe for riding a pogo stick around the world or something, but it's definitely still neat!

This is sweet, Im from Edmonton, Albeta. The butterdome is a giant yellow gymnasium - so the name is fitting heh. I wish I had the chance to participate, would have spent 1/2 the time screaming FREEEEEEDOM!
