Original King Kong Model For Sale

Christie's auction house in London is offering the original articulated model of King Kong as part of a pop culture sale. This is the model that was used in the stop-animation sequence in which Kong climbed the Empire State Buiding in the movie's final sequences.
It is estimated to reach between $168,000 and $252,000 when it is auctioned Nov. 24.

Gerry: I fully agree. Unless someone wants to buy it for me for Christmas, in which case no one can see it because I'll be busy waving its arms around and going "RRAAAARGH!"

THAT should be in the Smithsonian, in the pop culture exhibit in the Natural History Museum. We should all be able to see it rather than sitting in a box in someone's house...
