Bolivia's Witches' Market

The Oddee crew took photographer Robert Dam to La Paz, Bolivia to shop in a neighborhood where talismans and odd ingredients are sold to those practicing the supernatural arts. These dried llama fetuses are supposed to bring good luck and prosperity. Some people put them underneath their homes to bring good fortune. Link -Thanks, Luke!

Wonderful photo! I've traveled through Bolivia the past 3 summers, for several months each time. The people are incredibly warm and friendly once you begin a conversation with them. The indigenous enjoy explaining their beliefs and cultural traditions....which are seeped in a rich tapestry of history. It's the kind of place where a person can get off the 'gringo trail' and really learn something!

...or you could have come down here to Miami.
We have similar stores all over the place down here.
(Mostly catering to the Santeria and other Central and South American 'religions'.)
