25 weeks into her pregnancy, Nicola Delemere didn't think she had any reason to be concerned about flying from Manchester to the island of Crete. But shortly into the flight, the expectant mother's water broke, and she soon gave birth to Alfie - who weighed just over 1 pound.
Once the baby arrived, the flight crew immediately realized that they didn't have the proper equipment to support such a premature baby. One quick thinking stewardess, who only had basic medical training, used a straw to clear the boy's lungs, provided him with heart massage, and performed mouth to mouth on him for 30 minutes to keep him alive.
Against all odds, the baby has survived the past four months, grown to over 5 lbs, and is now at home. Link [Daily Mail]

A pregnant woman on vacation? When there is so much to do at the house? (cleaning, washing the dishes, cooking, etc, etc) ;-)
