When it comes to a job interview, turns out there are just some questions you can't be asked. Legally, that is. The following are illegal interview questions:
"Is it Mrs., Miss, or Ms.?"
"Do you have children?"
"Could you have your church officials send over a recommendation?"

"What would you do for a Klondike bar?"
"Go ahead, nobody is looking"
"Does this shirt really make me look like John Holmes?"
"Who is easier, you or your sister?"
I answered "no" since it was true. But I could no figure out for the life of me what would happen to my app if I checked "yes". Even at the time, the question struck me as blatantly illegal. I got the job.
(Maybe that's why the company no longer exists. Good riddance to it, too!)

I applied for a job in the north of Ireland (the UK part) and the very last question on the job application was:
"Are you protestant, catholic or other"
I was so shocked at the whole idea of asking that since I am American and you could never ask that in America that I left it blank. I finally ended up checking "other" since I didn't feel comfortable with either of of the other choices.
I ended up getting the job.
