Every musical group eventually plays a very small venue -but inside a Volkswagen? The Finnish group Porkka Playboys manages the feat, playing Bohemian Rhapsody and pulling out an astonishing variety of instruments as they do so. -Thanks, Shesa!

My one-year-old likes to rip pages out of magazines and shove them in her mouth, and now, thanks to Volkswagen, she might actually get something edible the next time she does that. VW South Africa’s “Eat the Road” campaign places pages made of “glutinous rice flour, water, salt, propylene glycol, FD&C colour, glycerine” in publications like Auto Trader with the slogan “Eat the Road. Seriously, eat it.”

Have any brave souls out there given this a shot yet?

I’m not a huge fan of the VW vans like this one, but when you put the van on a set of tank treads, you have my interest. Apparently the shell to the VW was riveted onto a WWII era tracked ATV called the Weasel. This might be the ultimate off-road camping machine. link

What do you get when you combine a bunch of technically inclined Romanians, half of a Volkswagen, and half of an Opel?  Something that looks ridiculously unsafe but really wickedly fun!  I think I like the name Vopel for it.
