For the ultimate retro look, get Leonardo da Vinci’s handbag. It’s a modern leather purse from the fashion house Ghrardini that is based on a design sketched by Leonardo in the Codex Atlanticus, a collection of his notes and drawings. At the link, you can watch a video of an artisan assembling one.

We’ve previously seen a TARDIS purse made of duct tape, but this one is a professionally-made, durable polyester fake leather purse. Officially, its dimensions are 28 x 16 x 16 cm, but….
It’s made by Etsy seller Mochi Hernandez. At $250 a piece, they’re pricey, so you may prefer a TARDIS cookie jar instead.

Flickr user Monstrosity creates these delightfully mean-looking, yet stylish vinyl purses. You can find them for sale in the Odakyu Department stores in Tokyo.
It may be a little mean and silly, but I think this cute little dead dog purse is fantastic. Only problem, it’s $317.
“Based on Paris Hilton’s discarded pet Tinkerbell is an upside down dead Chihuahua. This design capitalizes on the trend of carrying a small dog as a fashion accessory.”
This cute, and suprisngly fresh smelling, purse is very well thought out. The bass-mouth opening is very clever and the scales are too authentic.
