Die-Hard Fan

Posted by Alex in Sports on July 16, 2011 at 11:13 am

There are fans, there are die hard fans, then there's Roy Miracle. His daughter Juli took this photo of Roy in his final proclamation of love for the Ohio State Buckeyes:

"Now Dad is the permanent "I""

Father, the "I" was a HUGE fan.

Long time fan who was always the "I-O", is forever the permanent "I". Roy Miracle was shown in an OSU turtle neck that he loved, and holding the position that he loved! The rest of the long time fans are from left to right, Ann Robinson, Juli Miracle, my Dad (Roy Miracle), and Rick Ives.

Gorilla Attacked By Random Banana

Random acts of violence are not funny. They aren’t.  And the attack of a gorilla mascot in a Wireless Center in Strongsville, OH, last week is not funny. According to Fox8:

[T]he store has the gorilla as a marketing tool a couple of days a week. Brandon Parham, the store manager, told the TV station that he had seen the kid inside the store prior to the attack.

“Then he just emerged, dressed up as a banana, and sprinted as fast as he could at our gorilla,” Parham said. “The kid just speared our gorilla.”

Meantime, the store manager feels his guy got a bad deal: “The gorilla should have won,” Parham said.

Ohio is a Piano

Posted by Miss Cellania in Music, Travel on September 29, 2009 at 9:41 am

Andy Woodruff noticed that Ohio has 88 counties, the same number as keys on a piano. So he went to work on a map application that assigns a note to each county. You can play a song on the map (a couple of songs are plotted out for you) or reassign the notes based on census data such as population, number of rental houses, or median age. You can even hear what a route from one place to another sounds like! Link to map. Link to the story behind it. -via the Presurfer
