This is the model that was used in the stop-animation sequence in which Kong climbed the Empire State Buiding in the movie’s final sequences.

It is estimated to reach between $168,000 and $252,000 when it is auctioned Nov. 24.

Fashion photographer Greg Kessler takes pictures of runway models before and after makeup. The Moment, the New York Times fashion blog, posts these together so you can slide back and forth from one image to the other. Scroll down at the site to see models from various fashion shows. Portland artist Amy Bennett creates striking oil paintings, many of whichd epict beautiful vistas, landscapes, cityscapes and slices of daily life. Only there’s one catch – these oil paintings are stylized to look like minature models.

You probably think I find these clips funny as per my previous post, the fact of the matter is, I don’t. I just feel sorry for these models. I cringe every time I see them trip or fall. Set designers ought to work on the stages and make them safer for the models. And it’s not just the runways that are problematic, just look at some of those ridiculous shoes.
