Live-Action Battleship Yamato Trailer

Space Battleship Yamato — or Star Blazers, as it was known when produced in English — was one of the first anime series to gain a strong following in the United States. The story began when the wreck of the old World War II battleship Yamato was rebuilt on the scorched ocean floor into a spaceship and then sent on a desperate mission to defeat aliens who threatened the Earth with destruction.

Well, it’s been made into a live-action movie, and above video is the Japanese-language trailer.

It was a really catchy theme song, wasn’t it? I don’t think that I’ve watched it since ’98, but I still remember the words clearly.
