Shannon Larratt, the founder of body modification website BMEzine and a long-time Neatoramanaut (his first comment was back in 2009), has died in an apparent suicide. Shannon has left a note explaining his medical condition and the situation that led up to his death.

I wrote a similar, if not so well written, letter to my family and friends a few years ago but managed to survive. May Shannon's choice bring him peace. I appreciate having read him over the years. I learned new ways to view people with fascinated openness and nonjudgementalism.

I'm so sorry for the loss. I can't imagine experiencing the sort of pain he must have endured.
