Long-toed shoes for men have been appearing more and more in the past few years. I thought it was a European thing, since so many guys I've seen wearing them are all the stylish metrosexual mediterranean/euro types. This seems to be a bizarre progression.

This happened in Medieval times in Europe. The points of men's shoes go so long they would attach chains from the points and connect them to a garter tied just below the knee and above the calf. Phallic?
