This video shows an actor performing the “To Be or Not To Be” soliloquy from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, restoring the language to the original Klingon. The play became available in the United Federation of Planets in 2000, thanks to the efforts of the Klingon Language Institute.

Bonus points for “the undiscover’d country.” So many movie titles have been culled from this soliloquy, I never knew Star Trek VI was as well.

Klingon doesn’t possess a “to be” verb so I’d actually be curious to see a re-translation back to English.

Wow…as strange as it is to say this, that was one of the better performances of that soliloquy I’ve seen.

And I’ve seen some great ones.

Now I feel guilty, because he looked so serious, but the idea is sooo laughable.
