A crimson-crested woodpecker battles an olive whipsnake on Peru’s Yarapa River.  One presumes that the snake was stealing eggs or attacking chicks in the woodpeckers’ nest.  The battle ends by the 3:00 mark.

It didn’t have a chick did it? Just looked like feathers that came off the big bird.
    Very cool video though.

Look closer. The snake just swallowed something before it came out of the hole.

The video is very amazing and somewhat saddy.Yes its true that any is going to win and snake has great poison power so obviously he was going to win but the battle was because snake was eating the eggs or chicks of the woodpecker and at last woodpecker died that i feeled unfair.
