Following up on our 8 Starship Enterprise Facts Every Trekker Should Know post, here are some of the neatest Star Trek cakes ever made. Enjoy (Resistance is futile!)

Star Trek Cake by Ace of Cakes - via TrekMovie (note the angry nerd comments)

CakeCentral user Spense uploaded these photos of the Captain Kirk Cake made for the 2009 Star Trek Cake Contest (many, many more cool Star Trek cakes there)

Another one for the CakeCentral Star Trek Cake contest, this one is simple yet very chic: the Star Trek Uniform groom cake by CakeCentral user tenmeows.

Star Trek Communicator Cake by Rick Reichart of Cakelava

This one is quite beautiful: Jonathan Lane's groom cake, over at USS Angeles.

The four sides of the cakes include messages from the Klingons ("Where do you keep the chocolate" - chocolate is an aphrodisiac for Klingons), Ferengis ("You humans still owe us for this cake"), Romulans ("The Praetor says hello"), Cardassian ("Hey, why weren't we invited to the wedding"), Bajoran ("May the Prophets guide you both in your lives together") and Vulcans ("Live long and prosper") - in their native languages.

European Cake Gallery (ironically, in Texas) - via Cake Wrecks

A Star Trek Birthday Cake by Alix Lewer of Alixs Cakes - a wonderful fondant work!

Star Trek Cupcakes by Clares Cupcakes

Borg Wedding Cake (look at the lil' Enterprise getting phasered!)

And last but not least, the Picard Cake to celebrate Captain Picard Day tomorrow (June 16):

"Borg Wedding Cake"??? I guess the bride must have been a Trekkie too or have quite a submissive personality.

Love the Kirk on the toilet one. With that squint on his face, he really looks like he`s boldly going.

I found the 40th cake too cool! I want that cake for my 50th! I'm loving the increase in Trek stuff - my little nerdy soul was running on fumes. I needed some Spock and Kirk therapy.

Very impressive, the captain kirk cake is really very very good. I would love to know how long it took to decorate the face of the cake. The features are really clever for icing.
I have bookmarked to visit again!

    wow, borg-cubes wedding cake?
i can only imagine what the bride said to the groom:
"you will be assimilated, resistance is futile"

btw, the USS Reliant cake looks like chinese bun / dim sum.
    yummy...

That's right Absent @2 - cuz all women are into white cheesy frosting and girlie, girlie frills. So it's either a Trekkie or a submissive? Sigh. Grow up.

Hey, I discovered a cool optical illusion as you scroll down past the insignia cupcakes. It's almost like they move...

Umm...Ted, 3rd down from the top... I don't think Kirk is on the toilet, unless he's going in his pants, cuz they're not down around his ankles!

Many of these cakes are really great looking! (and ALL of them are from the Original TREK Universe and not one of 'em are designed after the wannabe remake movie!)

...at least the ones here... I noticed that there was one cake in the pics in the link to more cakes that was dssigned after the teaser poster for the remake -

the Enterprise delta shield emblem with yellow and blue on either side (I wondered why no red in the middle of that colorscheme on the poster, as to include all THREE of the department colors? oh well).
