Ugly Overload normally focuses on ugly critters, but the face of this little guy won me over. He looks like he’s smiling. Jumping spiders are really interesting and don’t worry, they’re too small to hurt you.

I love jumping spiders. They have always been easy going, as spiders go. If you need to move them out of the house, they never seem to mind that you are scooping them into a glass. Other spiders get all cranky and have attitude, when I try to do that.
And they are cute.

I'm wondering if that smiling spider pic you posted is photoshopped. It only has two eyes showing. If you follow the link it appears a similiar spider has more eyes on the front. The smile is also reversed. These are adorable pics though. I love them.

Those maybe jumping spiders but we get Wolf Jumping Spiders here that get about 1.5ft across and jump about 3-6ft.

Um. That's shopped, i think, But that's as far as i will go on this. I ran into one of these little guys on my upper cupboard door this morning when i went to make coffee. My guess is that he was looking for a bite to eat. When i came back to the pot to get a cup he was gone, but i did jet to see him jump between the cupboard and the wall before i walked away.
