By Alex in Baby & Kids, Music on Dec 21, 2008 at 1:19 pm

Here’s your next rock star: Meet Sara, a 13-year-old kid who kicks butt playing Rush’s YYZ on the drums, complete with stick twirling theatrics and such.

VideoSift has the clip: Link [embedded YouTube] | Sara’s website (in Japanese)

If you like that, here’s Sara (11yo), playing Rush’s Freewill on the drums and singing too!

Not bad! Neil Peart would be proud. :)

I love how all the comments on that site are negative because she smiles throughout it and twirls her sticks.

It’s like, “Hey, little girl. STOP HAVING FUN!”

Cool, but too much stick-twirling and he smiles looked fake. But good.

A kid “who” kicks butt, not “that” kicks butt. There: I beat AnUnSi to it.

She is also triggering her own accompaniment on the strike pad on the right at the same time. Pretty amazing.

If you’re a Neil Peart fan… you should really check out this movie called Adventures of Power! It features the funniest air drumming scenes to my favorite RUSH songs!

True to the site, that was definitely neat. I wish I could play half as good.
