Tomorrow is Conception Day in Russia

Sergei Morozov, the governor of central Russian region of Ulyanovsk, has decreed September 12 as day to procreate:

Ulyanovsk Gov. Sergei Morozov has decreed Sept. 12 a Day of Conception and is giving couples time off from work to procreate. Couples who give birth nine months later on Russia’s national day — June 12 — will receive money, cars, refrigerators and other prizes.

It’s the third year that the Volga River region, about 550 miles east of Moscow, has held the contest. Since then, the number of competitors — and the number of babies born — has been on the rise.

    BOW CHICKA BOW WOW! :)

I have a feeling a lot of women are going to the hospital on that day to have C-Sections.

That’s disgusting. There are already more than enough people on the planet. Just because they don’t happen to be in YOUR country doesn’t mean that you need to go out and make more people. And prizes? That’s just sick.

    Whoa, overpopulation!

It’ll be far easier to just open your borders for people who happen to want to live in your country, really.

For people who want to live in Russia?
They had to keep the borders closed for decades just to keep their own people in.
