Mickey Mouse Rising On Mercury

Is this photographic proof that the Disney corporation have begun branding other planets, or are the extraterrestrial beings that live on the surface of Mercury big fans of Mickey Mouse?

The sad truth is many people are so conditioned to thinking of the iconic three circle silhouette as a representation of Mickey that whenever they see anything that looks remotely like it they can't help but think of the Mouse that Disney built!

Seth The International Street Artist

The extremely colorful street artist known only as Seth has a global mission in mind-cover every continent with street art containing characters which look like the native people.

Seth's works can be found all over the world, and his characters look like local people rather than idealized super beings. And they're so cute and colorful it's no wonder people across the globe love seeing Seth's work adorning their neighborhood walls!

Sinister Versions Of Classic Disney Characters

There's a Serbian illustrator known as Testosteronman who was tired of the cute, cuddly nature of the iconic Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie and Pluto, so he sat down at the drawing board and gave these characters a sinister makeover.

You wouldn't want to meet these twisted toons in a dark alley, and if a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit is made they should cast these dark Disney characters as the antagonists!

The Power Of A Booming System

(YouTube Link)

This video demonstrates the power of bass in your face, and shows how much force is behind that bass heavy system found in cars that drive by with the booming system.

Obligatory Yakov Smirnoff joke- In Russia, people who cannot afford blow dryer use car stereo to dry hair! My apologies for the bad joke...

(NSFW? I can't quite make out the lyrics of the song...)

This Jet Powered Go Kart Looks Like Deadly Fun

This jet powered go kart looks like a good idea on paper that can go horribly wrong when you actually get behind the wheel.

Built by daredevil/airplane parts salesman Seth Kettleman, this is the perfect vehicle for the YOLO generation, and is guaranteed to burn your face off if you stand too close!

Awesome Robot Night Lights

These charming robot night lights were created by artist and craftsman Tal Avitzur from Santa Barbara, California. Tal uses unwanted junk to construct each piece, which gives them their distinctive junkbot flair.

They have a warm retro style, and each character has a lot of personality, so they're sure to drive robot collectors wild! Hit the link if you want to find out what kind of parts Tal used to create each robot, I found some of the components quite surprising.

Animated Series Pilot-Isle Of Spagg

(YouTube Link)

This is by far the coolest work of animated awesomeness I've seen on the interwebs, and that's saying a lot considering how much cool stuff is out there!

It's the pilot episode for an animated TV series called The Isle Of Spagg, and it was created by the Brothers McLeod who have won both BAFTA and Webby awards for their animation.

So, sit back and enjoy half an hour of pure nautical themed cartoon delight, I promise it will be time well wasted.

Blade Runner-The Watercolor Edition

(YouTube Link)

The dreamlike quality of Ridley Scott's classic scifi film Blade Runner has been captured in a most painterly manner by Anders Ramsell, who reproduced thirteen minutes of the film (so far!) via 3600 watercolor paintings.

He plans on making over the entire film in this colorfully abstract manner, and I for one can't wait to see the rest!

Awesome 3D Pac-Man Street Art

This mind blowing work of 3d street art makes me want to walka-walka-walka on the other side of the street so I don't get lost in the maze!

Painted, and subsequently, photographed by Leon Keer in Venlo, the Netherlands, this cute and colorful work illustrates the world's undying love of video games.

Vintage Photo Booth Portraits

Archival site These Americans has some amazing photo sets for you to peruse and admire, like this series of vintage photo booth shots that take a fun look back at the county fair and boardwalk days of yore.

The pics range from hilarious to subtly disturbing, much like a trip to the carnival, and they really capture the look and feel of the past despite the lack of props or background reference.

Enjoy looking through the nostalgic lens of the photo booth camera!

World Map Aquarium

Let your fishies tour the globe from the comfort of your home with this world map aquarium.

No guarantees that your finned friends will appreciate being world travelers, but you'll appreciate the fun to be had pretending your little fishies are pirates and merchant ships battling it out on the high seas.

Even better than the playtime potential is the fact that this world map aquarium is also a coffee table! No wonder designer Takuro Yamamoto won a TIFF Award for this cleverly designed fish cage.

Tintin Meets The Cthulhu Mythos

Intrepid newspaper reporter Tintin has come up against some tough opponents in his time, but facing off against the Great Old Ones might be too much for his incredible mind to handle!

This fun "what if?" scenario comes to you courtesy of graphic designer Muzski, who shows us how cool a collaboration between H.P. Lovecraft and Herge could have been. Check out the rest of the Tintin X Cthulhu Mythos covers at the link below, if you dare...
