I've wondered how people would handle seeing a naked person walking around town like they do in classical paintings, but Venus on the half shell in a modern setting has been artistically done to death.

However, I can’t recall seeing composited images of classical paintings in the modern world that are as compelling, or entertaining, as the works of Alexey Kondakov.

Alexey uses precise figure placement and an appropriate urban backdrop to sell the fact that the Madonna and child would ride the subway home, and bacchanalian revelry would take place under a highway overpass.

David Letterman is leaving the talk show world behind, and thereby leaving a gap in late night larger than the one between his two front teeth that will soon be filled by the supremely talented Stephen Colbert.

But even though Stephen will definitely measure up to Dave in terms of interviewing talent and likeability Colbert will never be able to match Letterman's gift for reinventing the talk show.

Max has walked out of the wastelands once again and brought the apocalyptic action back to the big screen, and audiences are simply mad about Max!

Those who have seen the latest movie will tell you that the costuming is amazing, the cars are incredibly cool, and the sets/backgrounds are stunning to behold on the big screen, but before all these apocalyptic elements were made real they were part of a concept artist’s workbook.

Concept art was such an integral part of Fury Road that illustrator Brendan McCarthy received a co-writing credit for his work on the film, which is only fitting considering he didn't even have a finished script to work from when he came up with these amazing designs.

Brendan's incredibly cool concept art is collected in the new book The Art Of Mad Max: Fury Road, released by Titan Books.

It's rare to see a concept artist play such an integral role in the overall development of a feature film, but in the stylized world of Mad Max it actually makes sense to build the storyline around the art.

Many Marvel movie fans dream of bringing the action home, but unless they’ve got a few billion dollars lying around, or access to an unsecured gamma radiation lab, those dreams remain in slumberland.

However, some dreamers aren’t content to leave their superheroic aspirations in the Land of Nod, so they take it upon themselves to make those dreams into a geeky reality.

Xing Yile is a middle school teacher from Zhengzou, China who wanted to bring the Hulkbuster armor worn by Tony Stark in Avengers Age of Ultron to life, so he found an underground parking garage and went to work.

Two months later he and a friend completed construction on an eleven-foot-tall replica of the Hulkbuster suit, which is made of "over 100 fiberglass-reinforced plastic components" and looks intimidating enough to stop the Hulk dead in his tracks.

The funny part is- Xing had only seen the trailer for the movie when he started building the suit. Imagine how much more impressed he'll be with his build when he gets to see the whole movie!
