The Feral Cats Who Call Disneyland Home

There’s a hidden population lurking around Disneyland unchecked, a group that owns the park at night and keeps the Magic Kingdom rodent free.

(Image Link)

They’re the feral cats who call Disneyland home, and these welcome squatters have become the source of discussion between animal advocacy groups and Disney.

(Image Link)

Disneyland has allowed feral cats to call the park home since the very beginning, but by 2001 the park’s feral cat population was growing out of control, so they allowed animal rescue group Best Friends Catnippers to perform TNRs (trap-neuter-return) on the furry populace.

Today there are at least 100 feral cats roaming around the park after dark, but Disney doesn’t want to discuss these guest gatos, and some naturalist groups are worried these hungry kitties are going to wreak havoc on the local wildlife.

Father Explains Photographer Job To Son With A Potato Head Wedding

Kids often have a hard time grasping the concept of their parents doing something besides parenting for a living, finding it difficult to understand what it means to be an accountant, an administrative assistant, or a wedding photographer.

So how can a father who shoots weddings for a living explain this career to his young son? With a little help from Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and the rest of the Toy Story gang, as they celebrate the love shared between two plastic spuds.

Photographer Chris Thornton came up with this clever way to share his career with his son, and now the boy is carrying on in his father’s footsteps, having become quite a shutterbug himself since the Potato Heads said “I do”.

Photographer Reveals The Many Dead Ends Found In Brooklyn

For some Brooklyn is the New York borough that represents a new beginning, for others it’s a stop in the middle of their NY story, but there’s one thing Brooklyn has waiting for anyone who lives there- lots of dead ends.

There are dead ends everywhere, remainders from city renovations and poor planning, some overgrown and abandoned, all mysterious.

Brooklyn native David Mandl has been uncovering these dead ends for fifteen years in a photographic journey he calls END, and his photos reveal the tranquility these quiet little spots bring to the otherwise bustling borough.

Each location in the END series has its own story to tell, proving that the end of the road can actually represent the beginning of a journey.

PAKKU-MAN - Legend Of The Ghost Hunter

PAKKU-MAN by BeastPop

They didn't have the technology to depict the Pakku Man legend the way it actually played out, so they had to settle for a pie shaped main character and a bunch of pixelated ghosts, but the true story is so much cooler than the actual game. The demon hunter known as Pakku was trained in the art of wakka wakka, and he wielded a mystical wakizashi powered by energy pellets that made slicing through demons and spirits a snap, but then one day he encountered four different colored spirits who wouldn't go down without a fight...

Tell the true story behind the arcade classic with this PAKKU-MAN t-shirt by BeastPop, and you'll earn a geeky fashion high score with your fellow gamers!

Return Of The Lich Queen - Family Adventure Time Guys!

Return Of The Lich Queen by Gilles Bone

The Griffin family found themselves on a different kind of cartoon adventure, one that involved swords and ice kings and candy monsters and junk. At first they were all like "Oh, cool! This place looks way better than Quahog, and look! All the frickin' candy you can eat!", but as time marched on things got freaky for that cartoon family. Peter started telling everyone he was actually a guy named Finn, little Stewie started going beep-mo-boop-bop like a robot, and Chris thought he could cast spells and talk to penguins, but as the darkness settled in the family's sense of smell was accosted by the stench of desperation and rotten meat...

Add some cartoon crossover adventure to your geeky wardrobe with this Return of the Lich Queen t-shirt by Gilles Bone, it's the perfect way to say "I watch cartoon shows and I'm okay!"

If you go down to the circus today you're in for a big surprise, the clowns have stolen the Doctor's box which is bigger on the inside, they're using it to update their act and even though it's not based on fact the clowns have made that blue police box part of their routine. NintendO.G. by Dann Matthews

Do you remember the click of the zapper's trigger as you shot those pixelated ducks out of the virtual sky? Then you're a NintendO.G., one of the original console gamers who braved the wilds of contra without a code and used pipes to transport your Bros to warp zones, to the amazement of your console-less friends. Here's What Guy Fieri Would Look Like Without His Signature Style

Guy Fieri is known for many things- his abrasive attitude, his kick ass cooking and his numerous TV appearances, but overall the guy is known for one main thing- his signature style.

The spiked bleach blonde hair, the goatee, the flashy clothes and the multiple piercings are the features most people use to identify Guy, so what would happen to that FIeri flare if he no longer sported his signature style?

According to this rendering created by Twitter user Wrong Opinion Guy (@gewqk) he would look like a totally average schlub were it not for his spiky blonde ‘do and rugged goatee.

But how would this make-under affect his cooking? I'm thinking he'd finally start using quinoa in his recipes, and his signature dish would change from Cajun Chicken Alfredo to a fresh tofu and kale salad...

Head over to BuzzFeed if you wanna see the transformation happen right before your eyes via image slider, it's truly terrifying!

Unique Celebrity Portraits By Frank Bauer

Capturing a celebrity’s good side is easy, capturing them as they play a role even easier, but cutting through the standard celeb fare and capturing the very essence/soul of a celeb on film is an extremely tall order.

Celebs try to keep their real selves hidden from any and all cameras by default, preferring to stay wrapped up in their roles rather than allowing themselves to become vulnerable. These walls are part of their charm, but also detrimental to discovering the real person beneath the façade.

Photographer Frank Bauer has a knack for cutting through the character costume and revealing the real person playing the roles. His portraits have a staged yet intimate nature that makes them more interesting than a merely introspective photo, and more revealing than your average posed celeb portrait.

If celeb shots don't appeal to you then take a look at Frank's Facebook fan page and you'll discover his talents go well beyond his work with the Hollywood elite, because Frank is also an accomplished travel and landscape photographer.

Turkeys Take Their Thanksgiving Protest To The Streets

Every year millions of turkeys are plucked, roasted and served up with a smile on Thanksgiving day, and they’ve apparently had enough of our barbaric holiday traditions.

Turkeys are gobblin’ mad about being served up with gravy and a side of sweet potatoes, and they’re taking their Thanksgiving protest to the streets to wattle their way to freedom.

(YouTube Link)

The turkey revolution has begun in Wallingford, Connecticut, thanks to the efforts of two turkeys named Fred and Ethel, who have been spotted chasing cars and wreaking havoc on the roadways.

These brave turkeys know that all good revolutions start with a gobble and a march down the road, but they'd better watch out or they're liable to ruffle some commuter's feathers and fall victim to road rage!

Family Of Guardians Fans Created This Amazingly Detailed Groot Swing

What is a geeky family to do when their collective love of Groot cannot be contained indoors? Why, build a life sized Groot swing, of course!

A family in the UK built this amazingly detailed Groot swing for an upcoming show called Super Fans Super Builds, and now their kid is the luckiest junior grade geek in the entire galaxy!

Their awesome creation captured the attention of director James Gunn, who shared their masterpiece with the world via Instagram...for a few hours at least, until it mysteriously disappeared from his account.

Why are the creators trying to keep the Groot swing under wraps when it might just be the coolest Groot themed fan creation ever constructed? Most likely because the show has yet to air. Too late to take it back now, guys!

Classic ABC Afterschool Special Warns Parents About Kids Who Go Punk

Parents are always trying to keep their children from becoming like some group society has deemed undesirable, like the Hare Krishnas in the 70s or the Juggalos today, but for my money there has never been a group more reviled than those rotten punk rockers.

With their spiked hair, tattered clothes and general F-off attitude it’s no wonder parents didn’t want their kids growing up to be punks, and parents are still afraid of their kids succumbing to punk syndrome to this day.

(YouTube Link)

This legendary ABC Afterschool Special from 1987 was created to help parents and kids avoid making bad punk-related decisions in their lives, such as dying their hair radical colors or wearing too much jewelry.

The Day My Kid Went Punk is a warning to all parents- keep your kids away from that evil punk rock music or suffer the consequences!
