Fan Made G.I. Joe Video Game

(YouTube Link)

It's hard to believe that this G.I. Joe video game is fan made, and available to download for free!

Attack Cobra Island plays like a classic sidescrolling arcade brawler, and even though it isn't the prettiest fan made game I've ever seen, it has lots of retro charm and looks like more fun to play than the original G.I. Joe game on the NES.

If only someone would make a G.I. Joe game where you can play as Cobra...

Beautifully Surreal Anatomical Art

These gorgeously inaccurate anatomical artworks are by Valerio Carrubba, an Italian artist with a penchant for combining images of what lies beneath the skin with the beauty of the natural world.

His works are inspired by anatomical artists of the past, such as Jean Baptiste Marc Bourgery and Jacques Fabien Gautier d'Agoty, but he adds an interesting background element to form a complete, if somewhat disgusting, picture.

This Little Drummer Boy Really Rocks

(YouTube Link)

Attention rock drummers-watch out for this little drummer boy, because he's poised to take the music industry by storm before he hits puberty.

The talented kid featured in this video is Jaxon Smith, which is already a cool name for a rocker, and he has some serious skills on the drums that didn't come from playing Rock Band.

Watch him play along to the Foo Fighters hit Pretender, at six years old he keeps a beat better than most bar band drummers!

Comic Con's Creepiest Exclusive

Comic Con exclusive merchandise just got a little darker thanks to Activision, makers of the upcoming Walking Dead video game.

They're hooking up 100 lucky consumers with this grisly replica of the ear necklace worn by Darryl in the AMC TV series.

Whether these lucky people will have the nerve to wear this freaky piece of television memorabilia around the Con is another matter entirely.

Interactive Murals By Ernest Zacharevic

These awesome murals by Ernest Zacharevic really make the buildings on which they're painted come alive, and add a whimsical touch to the town.

Ernest's paintings range from entire walls to subtle little pieces, and they all look like they're interacting with the environment, and objects, around them.

Animated Short - What Is Dead May Never Die

(Vimeo Link)

What Is Dead May Never Die is a techno trip in the way back machine, with oodles of retro charm and an electro-pop soundtrack to match.

Created by experimental animator Kadavre Exquis, this is an homage to the warm glow of old computer screens tempered with bits of video footage and lovely cascading pixels.

Hungary's Red Sludge Disaster Zone Two Years Later

There's a section of Hungary known as the red sludge disaster zone, where the land was ravaged by toxic waste in 2010 and now looks like a surreal martian landscape devoid of human life.

The photos in this series were taken by Palíndromo Mészáros for American Photo, and they capture the colorfully barren nature of the ruined Hungarian landscape.

Hit the link below if you want to see the rest, they make a rather clear statement about the devastating effects a toxic waste spill can have on the environment.

Rubber Bands Vs. Watermelon

(YouTube Link)

How many rubber bands does it take to make a watermelon explode from the pressure? The world may never know....

Oh wait, some guys in Korea already figured that out waaaaay back in 2008 (that's like the 1950s in blog years), and the answer might come as a surprise.

Well, not as surprising as one rubber band, but watch anyway and find out for yourself!

The Psychedelic Works Of Keiichi Tanaami

These eye popping, neon colored illustrations are by Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami, who wants to feed warped imagery to your head until it explodes!

Inspired by a trip to NYC in the 1960s, during which he had the good fortune to meet Andy Warhol, Keiichi went home with a head full of dreams and started creating these far out works of psychedelic art.

Fan Film - Indiana Jones And The Jungle Spider

(YouTube Link)

A very young fan of Indiana Jones asked his father to help him make this adorable fan film, in which young Logan plays Doctor Jones of course.

Watch as he searches for the elusive Tiki looking ceramic thingy missing from his collection, all the while trying to avoid being bitten by a rather nasty looking spider.

Oh, kids these days, what will they come up with next?!

I Guess Those Helmets Aren't Blaster Proof After All

This grisly act of cosplay should serve as a warning against fighting for the Dark Side - don't join up if you value your good looks.

I've seen zombie stormtroopers before, but this one takes the cake and utilizes anatomy and backstory to maximum gory effect.

If you see this guy wandering around, don't point at him or he just might bite off your finger!

An Amazing Array Of Custom Action Figures

Figure modder elvis1976 knows his way around the clays and the plastics, and he creates unique versions of popular comic book characters that show his deep love for the funny books.

Of particular note are his versions of Tank Girl, Cable and the baby (pictured above), a movie version of Big Daddy from Kick Ass, and a Dark Knight that would make Frank Miller proud.

San Diego Comic Con 2012 Bingo

Artists Mike Yamada and Victoria Ying have created this cute little bingo card for you to carry around if you're attending Comic-Con 2012 this week(end).

I've already got Pit Stains just thinking about the crowds smell fun I'll have tooling around my beloved Con, and I've got my Short Shorts, Browncoat and Eyepatch all laid out for this weekend!

The Trololo Kid

(YouTube Link)

Remember the Trololo guy, aka Mr. Trololo?

He entertained us all with his unique vocal stylings and theatrical performance before he sadly passed away at age 77.

Well, the kid in this video may be the chosen one who will carry on his legacy, if he ever learns how to sing...

Watch him ham it up in a uniquely Trololo fashion, it sure squeezed the chuckles outta me!

Awesome Maleficent Wall Mount

This is one of the coolest wall mount sculptures I've ever seen, and the artist has really captured the spirit of Disney villain Maleficent in her fiery dragon form.

It was created by Dan Reeder of Paper Mache blog, and yes that means this amazing piece is made out of paper!

Add some LED lights for a cool glowing mouth and eyes effect and you have a dragon wall mount worthy of display in a brave warrior's abode.
