(Vimeo Link)

Dave Cooper is one of my favorite cartoonists, and Nick Cross is one of my fav modern animators, so the thought of these two guys working together on a new series called PigGoatBananaMantis! sends me straight to toon heaven!

Watch the trailer for this whacked out new series and toon out everything else...it's totally worthy of your attention...

The Bundle Of Creative Energy Known As DOMA

The artist collective known as DOMA has created a wide variety of artworks, installations and lots of stuff that defies categorization since they first came together fifteen years ago.

Today, their works add color and life to city streets as well as gallery walls, and encountering a DOMA "happening" is like bearing witness to a spontaneous eruption of psychedelic color.

Check out the links below and you'll see just how colorful DOMA can be!

Beautiful Animal Sculptures By Beth Cavener Stichter

I really like the look of these savage animal sculptures by Beth Cavener Stichter.

Their rough clay finish makes the critters look as if they've just come into creation and have yet to have their forms polished and smoothed out.

They're part of her new series entitled Come Undone, a series full of raw texture and majestic natural beauty.

Now You Can Take The Air From New York City With You

Now transplanted New Yorkers can take the smell of their beloved NYC with them wherever they go, thanks to this Canned Air novelty product.

It's part of a series of canned air from cities across the globe being sold on Etsy, and claims to contain air that is "20% Empire State Building, 10% Grand Central Terminal, 10% Chrysler Building, 20% Statue of Liberty, 10% Little Italy and Chinatown, 10% Brooklyn Bridge, 10% Times Square, 10% Central Park."

Vintage Photographs Of Female Sword Swallowers

Everybody likes watching a good sideshow act, and sword swallowing is one of those deadly cool acts that elicits lots of oohs and aahs.

Of course, it doesn't hurt if the performer is a gorgeous gal sporting an eye-catching getup.

Enjoy this gallery of vintage photos featuring brave performers risking their lives for the sake of sideshow entertainment.

Falcon Helmet Cam Video Makes You Feel Like You're Flying

Falconers in Abu Dhabi have created a mini helmet cam for their falcons, so they can (almost) see through the eyes of the bird as it takes to the air, soaring free and hunting prey.

You can see a video recorded with this amazingly tiny helmet cam at the link below, it's really amazing to watch but there is a scene where the bird hunts down another bird, so it's not for the squeamish.

Harry Potter Themed Couture Dress Designs

These couture fashion design sketches were created by DeviantARTist DistantDreamer, and they're based on the four houses from Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter series.

They look surprisingly wearable, and less witchy than I'd expect from anything Harry Potter themed, although the Gryffindor dress does look something a shaman might wear out on the town.

Stop Motion Animation Created With Spreadsheets

(YouTube Link)

Creating a fluid and interesting stop motion animation can be tedious enough, but when you decide to animate via spreadsheet you're just asking for trouble!

Apparently Joe Penna, aka Mystery Guitar Man, likes tedious trouble, as he and his team converted 730 frames of video into this blocky stop motion music video.

LOST Themed Baby Nursery

This Dharma Initiative approved baby nursery will be totally LOST on the new addition to your family, but maybe they'll appreciate it when they grow up and watch the show for themselves.

There are all sorts of fun little visual elements in this nursery, including a stuffed polar bear, baby food with Dharma Initiative labels, and a cute little airplane mobile that hopefully won't crash into the sleeping baby's head.

Geeky parents have way too much fun with home decor!

F-Bomb, Sexting And Other Words Being Added To The Dictionary

The Merriam-Webster dictionary is getting some not so necessary additions, including f-bomb, sexting and brain cramp, that really define the slangy modern state of the good old English language.

These new additions are sure to vex the older generation, vindicate students involved in English class arguments, and turn future Scrabble games into a total mess.

What do you think- are the new word additions necessary or just a way to sell more dictionaries?

Fire Tire Sculptures By Gal Weinstein

These strange yet masterfully crafted sculptures are by Gal Weinstein, an Israeli artist who created the tire fires as a statement concerning pollution.

They are made out of (among other things) wool, wax and a not so eco-friendly medium-styrofoam.

Still, as works of art it's unlikely that they'll end up in a trash dump anytime soon, and the highly sculptable medium allowed Gal to add a lot of detail to these remarkable pieces.

A TARDIS Themed Delorean

This is the CARDIS- a TARDIS styled Delorean that may be the end result of Doc Brown and The Doctor meeting up somewhere in time and space.

The old "bigger on the inside" TARDIS factor would really make a difference when applied to the somewhat small interior of the Delorean, especially if the time travelling duo want to bring their companions along for the ride!

A Cityscape Made Out Of Staples

This is one cityscape where loose sheets of paper won't be blowing down the street.

It's a cityscape called Ephemicropolis, and it was created by British artist Peter Root, who used over 100,000 staples in its creation.

The entire piece measures approximately 235 X 117 inches, with the "tallest" building measuring in at a whopping 4 and 3/4 inches high.

Spot The Skull In These Optical Illusion Artworks

These black and white illustrations by Istvan Orosz are masterpieces in their own right, but the fact that there is a skull hidden in each piece makes them an optical delight!

If you're having trouble finding the skull try looking at a smaller sized version of each piece and the grinning face of death should be easier to spot.

400 Chairs Assembled Into A Sine Wave

Welcome to Atlanta's Freedom Park, won't you pull up a chair and stay for a while?

This awesome feat of furniture engineering, 400 wooden chairs arranged into a sine wave formation, is called (surprise, surprise) SEAT, and it was created by Ju Lee and Brian Brush.

I wouldn't wanna be anywhere near this installation when they remove one of the chairs and it all falls down!
