Charles And Groot - Bad Luck Chuck

Charles And Groot by Albo

Charlie got really excited when he found a groot growing in his garden, thinking he may finally have a guardian who can defend him against the evil Lucy Van Pelt, but instead he found the groot to be yet another annoyance in his life. The darn thing kept saying its own name over and over again, it laughed when Lucy pulled the football away from Chuck at the last minute, and it ate every kite young Mr. Brown tried to fly. In fact, the only thing Charlie found useful about having a plant from another galaxy in his garden is the fact that it scared the heck out of Snoopy, which made it good for a laugh!

This comically cool Charles And Groot t-shirt by Albo will cost you mere peanuts but it's so valuable some might even try to trade you an infinity gem or two for it!

Seven Stories Stephen King Refuses To Publish

Stephen King is the most successful, and one of the most prolific, horror writers of all time, and yet he'll readily admit when something he's written simply shouldn't be put into print.

You can't blame the guy for batting less than a thousand, it's honestly quite remarkable that Stephen King still has so many amazing stories in him considering he wrote his first novel The Aftermath when he was just 16 years old.

The Aftermath tops the list of stories never to be published because King considers his first novel, which is about an apocalyptic survivor trying to sabotage a military force made up of aliens in disguise, a juvenile attempt at novel writing.

The manuscript rests under lock and key in the Fogler Archive at the University of Maine alongside a short story he helped his son Owen write called I Hate Mondays, which is, strangely enough, not about Garfield the cat:

I Hate Mondays, a short story about two misfits who are kidnapped by a goon named Doctor Mindbender and forced to give up the combination to a safe.

But eating beef is just the beginning of the meat-stravaganza, because knowing how the cow became a bunch of different cuts in the butcher's case is just as important for the carne connoisseur as knowing how to cook your favorite cut.

Images From Inside The Wreckage Of The Costa Concordia Cruise Ship

Taking a cruise is supposed to be a memorable experience, leaving the guests feeling like they got their money's worth as they floated along having fun and dancing their cares away.

However, those who were aboard the Costa Concordia in January, 2012 had no idea they were embarking on a nightmarish journey that would end with 32 lives lost when the Concordia wrecked off the coast of Isola del Giglio in Italy.

The wreckage was left to rot in Genoa, and incredibly German photographer Jonathan Danko Kielkowski found it unguarded and totally open for exploration when he arrived to snap some pics for his book Concordia:

“Against all odds, I find the shipwreck freely accessible – neither fences nor security personnel. Rather, the doors are open, lights are turned on, no man can be seen”.

Although the tragedy has forever marred the ship's reputation, at least we have Jonathan's photos to remind us how regal and beautiful the inside of the Costa Concordia once was.

Two Single People Get Married For A Week

Some people are what they call "terminally single", also known as "undateable", meaning they have a really hard time finding anyone who "gets" them and therefore might end up "dying alone".

These forever alone folks never seem to land a relationship that lasts and will therefore forever wonder what it's like to get married...or they could just do like the two in this silly social experiment by BuzzFeedVideo and get married for a week! (Video contains NSFW language)

(YouTube Link)

The two singles in the video agreed they wouldn't want to marry each other again, but they may live to eat those words and look back on this video as the time they met and married their soulmate...Naaaaaaaah!

Common Plants That Can Be Deadly For Pets

Pet owners often assume their cats and dogs will instinctively know which plants are safe to eat and which ones are toxic.

But for some reason domesticated animals will chew on just about anything if given the chance, including common plants that are actually pure poison for pets.

If your cat likes to hang out on the counter they might be enticed by that beautiful bouquet of lilies you bring home, but lilies can cause kidney failure in cats and ingestion is fatal if not treated within 18 hours.

(Image Link)

The sap from both the elephant ear and dumb cane plants can be fatal if ingested, and if the sap gets into your cat's eyes while it's prowling around they can get mighty infected.

Learned that one the hard way, and lemme tell ya- it's no fun trying to hold your cat down and give them eye drops!

Those beautiful foxgloves that sprout up all over the place are poisonous to both pets and people, but your pets probably won't notice them until you bring them inside, so leave them in the yard where they belong!

What If Hollywood Rebooted NickToons From The 90s?

The 90s are all the rage with the kids these days, which means those NickToons we all loved when we were young(er) will inevitably be rebooted hard by Big Hollywood someday soon.

Directors like Michael Bay, Quentin Tarantino and Judd Apatow are lining up to take a crack at a NickToon reboot, yeah I said Judd Apatow, who else could possibly direct the dark rom-com update of Hey Arnold!?

Illuminating illustrator Mady G. created these guaranteed to be better than the actual reboot movie posters and I have to admit she has sold me on the idea of a gritty CatDog reboot...

A Map Of The Most Popular Fictional Characters From Every State

You probably already know Marty McFly is from Hill Valley, California and Family Guy's Peter Griffin is from Quahog, Rhode Island, but did you know Rambo is from Bowie, Arizona?

Charlie Brown is from Minnesota because that's where creator Charles Schulz is from, and Chilly Willy is from Alaska because of course he is.

But this map created by Playboy showing The Most Popular Fictional Characters From Every State claims Barbie is from New York.

That's presumably because she made her first appearance at the American International Toy Fair in New York, but the official Barbie site lists her hometown as (fictional) Willows, Wisconsin.

Next you'll be telling me Hannah Montana isn't even from Montana...oh wait, it says here she's originally from Tennessee...

Video From 1980 Proves Some Mormons Live In Constant Fear Of Coffee

Evil comes in all shapes and sizes, from the mighty demons that crawl out of sinkholes and destroy whole towns to that wicked cup of coffee you drink in the morning.

That's right- we're all starting our days with a steaming hot cup of sin, at least according to the Mormon church, and if you think their views on polygamy are a gas get a load of this riveting short film showing how evil is brewing around every corner.

(YouTube Link)

Miss Robinson may have avoided temptation and stayed in the Mormon church's good graces, but what hope do the rest of us have if we can't get going without a cup of pure black evil in the morning?

Thanks a lot Hard-To-Find Mormon Videos, now I regret selling my soul to Folgers!

Photographer Camouflages Painted Models In Psychedelic Space

Body painting is no longer just about enhancing the look of the physical form or expressing a motif- it's about transforming the person sporting the paint into something else entirely.

Illusion has become a big part of the body painting game, and sometimes the optical trickery can be used to terrify as well as amaze.

When photographer Alex Markow heard the Primary Projects building in Miami was slated to be demolished he saw an opportunity to make a big mess and snap some amazing pics at the same time.

Alex brought artist Magnus Sodamin on board to create an immersive, and totally psychedelic, art installation called "infinity split", then he let some body painted models get "lost in infinity split".

Only Six Actors Have Ever Been Nominated Twice For The Same Role

Actors who win an Oscar are either lucky or part of a rigged process, depending on how you view the Academy and the way they've voted in the past, but winning an Oscar more than once sure makes you seem lucky.

And if that's true then actors who are nominated twice for the same role are surely the luckiest of them all.

And while nobody has ever won two Oscars for playing the same character only six actors have ever received more than one Academy Award nomination for playing the same role.

This year Sylvester Stallone was nominated for playing Rocky Balboa in Creedis, becoming the sixth star to join this super exclusive club that includes Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Peter O'Toole, Bing Crosby and Cate Blanchett.

22 Things You See In Nearly Every Roleplaying Game

Most roleplaying games either totally railroad the player, like the Final Fantasy series, or they let the player do what they please in an open world, like the Fallout or Elder Scrolls series.

Though seemingly as different as can be both types of RPGs, and pretty much all video games with roleplaying elements, have some rather comical elements in common.

There's the party member who dies in the storyline despite having been resurrected dozens of times in battle, the armor that turns into a bikini when equipped on a female character, and the sewer full of hidden treasures.

Because every stinky sewer must be full of hidden gems, right?

Buddhist Monk Goes On Tire Slashing Rampage After Killing Insect

Buddhist monks are generally the most peaceful people on the planet, but some monks have given their lives to Buddhism to escape a troubled and violent past.

It can be quite easy for these monks to stray from the path of peace, because all it takes is one little incident to throw them into a downward spiral of physical violence once again.

For 45-year-old Julian Glew the killing of an insect was that "one little incident", but rather than harm people he lashed out by slashing nearly 200 tires on cars around Pocklington, England.

Julian claims he wanted to take out his frustration on society without hurting anyone, trying to keep his freak out as Buddha friendly as possible by wounding cars instead of people.

The incident may also be a result of Julian living in isolation in the woods for the last 20 years, where he's seen lots of bugs but very few cars, so maybe the bug was a close friend?

Photographs Reveal What Actors See When They're On The Stage

Leipzig Opera House

The stage is set up to give an audience the best possible view of a performance, while likewise affording the actors a view of virtually every face in the audience, which must be overwhelming for some when the spotlights come on.

Theater Gütersloh

But there's something beautiful about that window full of waiting faces that must likewise captivate an actor, because many of the theaters photographed by Klaus Frahm are quite nice to look at whether you're the actor or the audience.

Magravial Opera House, Bayreuth

Klaus Frahm's images take us beyond the fourth wall in a whole new way, showing us what actors see when they walk out on the stage and grace the public with their performance.

The Man Whose Head Audibly Ticked Like A Clock

Sometimes people get a checkup at the doctor's office and they're told their "heart is like a ticking time bomb", meaning they won't live much longer if they keep taking their health for granted.

But what does it mean when your ears audibly tick twice a second like a metronome?

If you're Sankey Flynn of Greensboro, North Carolina it means you have a strange condition that makes you a living timekeeper:

According to physicians, the noise came from the "spasmodic contraction of muscles in the roof of his mouth. This causes the eustachian tube, leading from the throat to the ears, to open and shut making the peculiar noise."

Here's a newspaper clipping about the "tick-tock man" from the Somerset Daily American, dated February 26th, 1951:
