When Peter Dinklage Hosts SNL Some Seriously Funny Stuff Happens

Apparently all Lorne Michaels needs to do to resurrect the formerly funny SNL is bring Peter Dinklage in as host, because he nearly raised the show back to its former glory with his first appearance.

There was the obligatory Game of Thrones parody in the form of a “sneak peek” of the upcoming season.

(YouTube Link)

Then Peter stripped down to his birthday suit to do a sketch spoofing the Discovery channel show Naked and Afraid.

(YouTube Link)

And finally Peter got to show off his awesome singing voice and get weird with a wig on in the sketch called Mafia Meeting, a sketch in which Peter sings a super catchy song about Space Pants.

Will SNL ever be as badass as it was when Dinklage sat in the driver's seat? It sure will, just as soon as they get Peter to host again!

Street Artist Installs Secret Rooms Under Abandoned Manholes In Milan

People always assume manholes lead to a massive underground sewer system like the one we saw in Ghostbusters 2, but in truth they can lead to all sorts of interesting places, especially in Milan.

That's where Italian artist Biancoshock has been busy converting the spaces below manholes and the other metal shutter doors you sometimes see in the middle of the sidewalks, into little secret rooms.

Biancoshock's street art series "Borderlife" is truly underground, and aside from the slight danger to public safety posed by these open manhole covers they're sure to make Milan feel like an even more magical place.

Each little secret space has the comforts of home, and if Milan's gnome population suddenly finds themselves homeless they can move right in to Biancoshock's small artsy spaces!

Girl Asks Boyfriend To Buy Her Makeup, Immediately Regrets Her Decision

Girly girls who enjoy wearing makeup have all kinds of purchasing guidelines for their makeup based on years of experience with the lipsticks, mascaras and concealers at the center of their painted lives.

They know which colors look good on their skin and which brands of makeup suit them best and thereby know their way around the makeup section, a place few men are familiar with.

Emilia Clarke Has Lost Her Dragons And Her Spanx

Emilia Clarke clearly enjoys playing Daenerys on the hit HBO show Game of Thrones, and even though she plays one of the most popular characters on the show she hasn't let fame go to her head.

In fact, it seems like she has more of a sense of humor about herself now than when she started on the show, at least according to the goofy pics and vids she posts online.

Her latest hilarious video gem was created for Glamour Magazine, recreating her famous "where are my dragons?" line while looking for her spanx, her wig and her kale chips. It's the mother of all funny celeb videos!

Man Builds Robot That Looks Like Scarlett Johansson Because He Can

If you're going to build yourself a robot bride then you might as well build one that looks like your favorite movie star Scarlett Johansson instead of, say, one that looks like your dead mother.

And isn't it every young geek's dream to build their own beautiful movie star bot so they don't have to binge watch shows on Netflix alone?

Of course, most sad little fellows don't have fifty thousand dollars laying around, nor do they have the drive to create a robot from scratch despite their lack of mechanical skills.

But amateur bot builder Ricky Ma had the cash and the driving desire to create his very own "famous Hollywood actress", so he learned along the way:

When I started building it, I realised it would involve dynamics, electromechanics and programming. I have never studied programming, how was I supposed to code?

Additionally, I needed to build 3D models for all the parts inside the robot. Also, I had to make sure the robot's external skin and its internal parts could fit together. When you look at everything together, it was really difficult.

As a robot she's fine, but as an actress she's a bit robotic...

Tom Hiddleston Crashes Local News, Blames Thor For Bad Weather

When superstitious beliefs were the norm people believed bad weather meant the gods were angry at them, to which they responded by slaughtering sacrificial lambs and praying for the skies to clear.

But nowadays we're more familiar with the science behind the weather, and we know that anyone who blames Thor for the bad weather must be using their god-like charisma to cause mischief.

Tom Hiddleston channeled Loki's silly prankster side and crashed local Chicago news station Fox 32 so he could deliver the weather and dis his pretend big bro Thor.

Save it for your next Marvel movie appearance Tom Loki!

Knitting A Hat While Rocking In A Chair Has Never Been Easier!

Gone are the days when folks were forced to use their hands to knit a hat while rocking in their chair, because ECAL students Damien Ludi and Colin Peillex integrated knitting technology into the good old fashioned rocker.

(Vimeo Link)

The “Rocking-Knit” was constructed by Damien and Colin back in 2012 and yet still wows folks four years in the future because of the science inside:

Rocking-Knit is a new interpretation of the rocking chair. It offers its user productive moments of relaxation. The to-and-fro movement of this armchair knits hats for the winter and requires no exertion whatsoever.

Despite the style of knit cap created by this futuristically old fashioned knitting machine it's not just for hipsters and Smurfs- it's for everyone who enjoys a good rocking and a warm head.

Cartoons And Toy Lines From The 1980s That Would Make Great Movies

Since Hollywood is constantly running out of fresh ideas and always looking for a retro franchise to reboot maybe they should keep mining the 80s for awesome shows to turn into mediocre movies.

(YouTube Link)

Of course, if they really tried reboots of 80s cartoons and toy lines like the Silverhawks, Inhumanoids or those battle ready Dino-Riders could be amazing and lots of fun to watch.

Dinosaurs decked out with armor and advanced weaponry, now that has Michael Bay written all over it!

All kidding aside, how in the world can Hollywood filmmakers hungry for recycled content reboot the Ninja Turtles twice and give them four movies without making one Thundercats flick?

I'd love to see the look on my face when a time traveler tells 80s me about the Thundercatless future he has to look forward to...tragic!

The Ten Commandments Of Survival Horror Video Games

Survival horror video games can be as terrifying, strange or totally bats$#t crazy as they wanna be, but they'll always have some key gameplay components in common.

The shiny item in the corner, the health item hoarding, the save point, and the windows that reveal the horror lurking around outside will be a part of pretty much every survival horror game ever made.

But don't think of these staple elements as cheesy or predictable, think of them as your guideposts in the gruesome world you're trying to help your character navigate through and your only link to the real world.

And you can think of this illustrated guide to the 10 Commandments Of Survival Horror by Julia Lepetit as a primer on how to play survival horror, or a reminder of what to look for while you're playing.

Son Sends Home A Cardboard Cutout Of Himself While He Studies Abroad

Some parents get mighty lonesome when their kids go off to college or study abroad, and when a selfie and a little Skype time simply won't fill that void these lonesome loved ones need a stand-in.

So a caring son who goes by EverythingFerns on the Reddits sent his family a cardboard cutout of himself while schooling overseas, making them feel like he never left.

The good son's extra thin and very quiet stand-in showed up to dinner every night, celebrated holidays like Easter and Valentine's Day, and even joined the family on an outing to O'Charley's.

However, the stunt may have backfired, since some of EverythingFerns's family members say they now prefer the cardboard cutout to the real guy!

Game Of Thrones Cast Play- Sword Or 80s Heavy Metal Band?

Swords worthy of being named must thereby be given a suitably epic sounding name, because Camelot would have played out differently if Excalibur was called Stabby McStabStab.

The epic fantasy series Game of Thrones is full of equally epic swords, such as Oathbringer, Lightkeeper and Longclaw, the mighty Valerian sword wielded by Jon Snow.

But does the Game of Thrones cast know the names of these mighty swords of legend and, more importantly, can they tell them apart from the names of 80s heavy metal bands?

A Fun Assortment Of Movie Factoids

Learning little factoids about your favorite movies can be fun, and there is a seemingly endless supply of listicles out there waiting to tell you stuff you may not know in easy to read bite sized bits.

*Did you know O.J. Simpson was almost cast as the Terminator? Director James Cameron thought his persona was "too pleasant".

(Image Link)

After reading these listicles people learn new facts about flicks, which they can happily share with friends, family or give back to the internet's pool of knowledge via community posts.

*Did you know that actor Tony Todd actually put live bees in his mouth during the filming of this iconic scene in Candyman?

BuzzFeed asked their Community about any obscure movie trivia they might know and they got a flood of responses; from which they plucked 4 duds and 19 corkers by my count, like this cute little number about Boo:

*Did you know young Mary Gibbs, the voice actor who played Boo in Monsters, Inc., wouldn't sit still and read her lines? The crew had to follow her around with a mic and record her basically just being Boo in real life.

Mind Blowing Replica Of Fallout 4's Head Exploding Gauss Rifle

Making a realistic looking replica of a weapon featured in a video game is hard enough, but making a replica weapon that looks like it has survived a nuclear winter multiplies the difficulty by ten.

But bringing a weapon from Fallout 4 to life isn't supposed to be easy, it's a quest worth lots of XP and a legion of followers, so builders betters make it count.

The talented artisans at Show and Tell Props took a pile of plywood and some geeky dreams and brought Fallout 4's brutal The Last Minute Gauss Rifle to life, and while it may not be combat ready it sure looks like it can do some serious damage!

Couple Turn Old School Bus Into RV That Truly Feels Like Home

When you hear about a school bus being converted into a recreational vehicle you probably think of a hippie bus with psychedelic paintjobs or something that Otto from the Simpsons would live in.

But sometimes the bus is just the frame and engine used to convey the traveler across the country in style and comfort.

The 1984 Blue Bird school bus purchased by Steven and Lindsay for a mere $2,000 didn't look like much on the outside or the inside, but once they were done renovating it became a boxy palace on wheels.

The couple used reclaimed and recycled materials during the renovation, giving the interior a warm, cabiny feel with lots of wood and a cool corrugated metal comode.

Steven and Lindsay drove the bus from Florida to their home state of Oregon over the summer of 2014, exhaustively documenting not only the renovation but the trip back home for their website The New Oregon Trail.

It's a real trip to see what Lindsay and Steven were able to put together for under ten thousand dollars, and if their current careers don't pan out they could certainly find work as RV renovators.

Puppet Version Of Jerry Seinfeld Tries Out New Material On Pete Holmes

Comedians often have a hard time finding the right audience to try new jokes out on because their friends and family don't make very good sounding boards but they'd rather not go to a club with new material and bomb.

(YouTube Link)

That's why comedians should have a puppet version of themselves made so the puppet can take the heckler's verbal bullets and the comedian can adjust their act accordingly.

Observe this Seinfeld inspired puppet doing observational humor so Jerry can learn what works and what doesn't from the safety of his apartment mansion.

New Material Seinfeld is a web series by director Oren Brimer starring Pete Holmes and Joe DeRosa as a puppet version of Seinfeld named "New Material"...pretty straightforward stuff here...
