When Florida Police Officer Glenn Eppler came upon a group of ducklings in danger he didn't just keep driving.  He stopped traffic and saved the ducklings.

"This job, you never know what you're going to see," Eppler tells WINK News.  "I saw the baby ducks and thought of my daughter. She loves ducks.  She's ten and I could hear her in my ear saying, 'get out and save those ducks.'"

The Officer's dash-cam caught the whole thing on tape.

Catching ducklings is no easy task.  Lucky for the Officer a witness joined in and helped.

Do you love Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies as much as Hersha Howard?  She allegedly attacked her roommate over a box of eaten cookies.

When Wanke walked out of the bedroom, Howard grabbed a pair of scissors and began chasing and threatening Wanke, the report said.

As women ran down the stairs, Howard reportedly dropped the scissors, picked up a board and struck Wanke.

Wanke then ran to the kitchen, where Howard confronted and attacked her again, according to the Sheriff's Office.

They are one of my favorite cookies too. I like them when they have been in the freezer a while.

Oklahoma teenager, Kaitlyn Ladevaia, just got her first cell phone.  Now she can get calls and texts from her family and friends. The problem is she also gets lots and lots of calls and texts from people she doesn't know.  You see, Kaitlyn ended up with NBA player Blake Griffin's old cell phone number.

Kaitlyn does have unlimited data on her phone so all those extra text messages don't cost her a dime.

However, she doesn't have unlimited minutes and would rather use them chatting with her friends than letting people know she's not Blake Griffin.

For now her family is set on keeping the number.  Kaitlyn enjoys the claim to fame of having Blake Griffin's old number. She just hopes that the texts and calls eventually stop.

Penelope, the snake, spent a month riding the rails. Now her owner is being asked to pay $650 for snake retrieval and clean up.

Melissa Moorhouse was riding the subway when her pet boa, Penelope, went missing.  Melissa notified the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and the car was searched. No Penelope!

Fast forward one month. A commuter spots Penelope on the red line.  The train car is taken out of service and searched. Penelope is found. Yippee! Snake and owner are reunited!

Melissa's happiness, however, doesn't last long.  She is now being billed $650 for the expense of searching the train and sanitizing the car.

“To rid the subway car of any traces of germs such as salmonella, which may have been left by your snake, MBTA maintenance crews had to scrub and disinfect the Red Line car in which your snake was found,” wrote Wesley Wallace, MBTA Treasurer.

A pizza habit and a concerned delivery driver are being credited for saving an elderly woman's life.

Every day for the last three years, Jean Wilson has called her local Domino's pizza place. She always orders a large pepperoni pizza. Suddenly she stopped calling.

Jean's regular pizza delivery driver, Susan Guy, became very concerned and went to check on her. Susan knocked on the door and banged on the window of Jean's house. She even went and talked to neighbors. Finally she called the police.

Guy quickly called 911.  When police arrived, the broke down the door to Wilson's home, and found her lying on a floor inside.

They soon learned that Wilson had fallen on Saturday, and couldn't get over to a telephone to call for help.  Investigators said it's possible that her pizza-only diet may have saved her life.

A carriage horse in Memphis, Tennessee had a wild weekend. The horse slipped on some manure and ended up stuck in a drain. Lucky for the horse some real cowboys were in town for a roping contest.  The cowboys were able to slide the horse out of the drain using the manure like grease.   The horse walked away without a scratch while one of the cowboys walked away covered in manure.

Laughing and pointing at Murrah, Johnson said, "He had the nice end of it. He had the tail!"

Murrah added, "Yea! I had manure from here all the way up to here."
