Just another way to eliminate a human work force. I refuse to use those machines. I happen to like interacting with live cashiers and you can't argue with a machine should something ring up different than the price tag. And if most people refuse to use self check out then all the more human employees.
No, not jello!!! I cannot abide jello. I rarely ever eat it. I do like their pudding mixes that you have to cook. But the instant puddings are awful because they start sweating and dissolving and breaking down after a few hours. They leak! And the instant puddings don't taste as good as the ones you cook on a stove. Does anyone else chew their plain jello when eating it or am I the only one who does that?
Bourbon, vodka OR my preference Kraken rum. A much higher alcohol percentage but it's sooo smooth. I have lost holiday moments thanks to that rum. Release the Kraken! hohoho
"Who eats lifesavers for Christmas?" I do. I like the pep-o-mint and the wintergreen ones. Beats eating a huge candy cane. Now I am off to make some rice crispie treats to have with my egg nog. And, yes gwdMaine, I do drink egg nog.
When I was a kid in school we would have Xmas exchange presents. The present was to be 5 dollars or less. I remember desperately wanting the Lifesavers storybook candy rolls. I never got them but boy was I jealous of whomever did get one. Terry's chocolate orange (no cream inside) was a stocking stuffer treat. Everyone loved whacking it on the table to break the ball apart. I also liked to suck on candy canes until they were needle sharp. Ribbon candy (from long ago not the newer version that's way too thick) always came in a box and when opened it you would find the ribbon candy had shattered into shards and splinters that were mostly flavorless. The hard Xmas candy mix had peppermint pillows with a cream center that I really liked.
Watching this was like watching balloons exploding. Balloons freak me out. But watching this guy, well I found myself laughing out loud at every mistake he made. Maybe that makes me a bad person? This definitely is a video I want to keep for when I'm having a real rotten day so I can laugh at something to brighten my day.
My family had a turducken for Christmas one year. We were not impressed. personally, I like turkeys, chickens and ducks served with crispy skin. Soggy, flabby bird skin is pretty gross, IMO. If anyone asks me about getting a turducken for a special meal I will discourage them. One bird is enough for a get together.
Yes!! My husband caught the local fish from the bayou and added them to our pond and they were never eaten. The bright colors must have triggered the bird or animal making the goldfish really easy to see in the water. The goldfish also grew much faster than the local fish that tended to stay small for long stretches of time.
