Maze Mania.

Maze Mania is a wooden fence maze that covers 2.5 acres in Garden City, South Carolina. Inside the maze are several open rooms which offer several exits.
Step up to the counter and check in with the cashier. You will see a posted time in which to get through the maze. Pick up your time card and punch in! Run through the maze to find the cheese and punch your card. Now you keep running through the maze until you find the finish. Once out of the maze you punch out at the counter. If you beat the posted time on your first try, you win a free t-shirt.

Gelli Baff.

Gelli Baff turns a normal bath into a pool of brightly-colored gelatinous goop. Its a powder that holds 400 times its weight in water, similar to the substance used in disposable diapers. A packet of dissolver is included to turn the goop back into water when it’s time to rinse. Link -via the Toy Review

Harry Whittier Frees.

Photographer Harry Whittier Frees used no special effects to create his early 20th century versions of LOL cats. He had to be gentle with his subjects, and wait patiently for the perfect moment to snap the pictures. Link to story. Link to more photos. More here. And here. -via Metafilter

Bicycle Day.

Today is the anniversary of Bicycle Day {wiki}.
At 4:20 in the afternoon, on April 19th, 1943, the Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann deliberately ingested 250 micrograms of LSD-25, a substance he had discovered during experiments with alkaloids of the fungus ergot. Despite the vanishingly small dosage, he soon found himself stricken with dizziness, euphoria, and an inescapable compulsion to laugh. Within the hour, he could barely write or speak intelligibly, and fearing he'd poisoned himself, rode his bicycle to his nearby home, called a doctor, asked for a glass of milk and collapsed on a sofa.
Read about what happened next at Page 3.14. Link -via Grow-A-Brain, who has more links on the subject.

Jacob Seilheimer went on a diet and lost 89 pounds (an accomplishment in itself), which got him down to 349 pounds. Then he ran the Boston Marathon (as an unofficial entry), and finished! Dead last, but that’s still better than I could do. Link -via Reddit

Crazed Hare.

It happened in Night of the Lepus. It happened in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It happened to Jimmy Carter. And now its happened again.
Traditionally, rabbits and hares are better known as lovers, not fighters. On Monday, however, a hare in Linz, Austria broke the mold, attacking an elderly woman and her husband, not to mention the police officers who were called to the scene.

The rabbit would not back down, and had to be shot. The injured woman was treated at a local hospital and later released. Link -via Arbroath

Dance Off.

This stop-motion video was fun to watch, although I would suggest a more sturdy tripod next time. Push play or go to YouTube.

Music Sculpture.

French sculptor Philippe Guillerm has a thing for cellos and other stringed instruments. This work is called Dialogue.

Guillerm's music-inspired sculptures are whimsical and curvaceous string instruments, he uses the theme as a way of expressing human nature and needs, you see an instrument, he sees an attitude. In addition to the musical theme, many of his sculptures depict sea scenes and animals. His other works include functional art like " Sculptural-speakers", finely carved furniture, large dimensional wall murals and monumental outdoor pieces.
