I used one of those nets one summer, to keep my husband from installing a cat door. It took the cats a couple of weeks to figure it out. But before the summer was over, I had to evict a stray cat and a possum that both just moved inside. We never installed a cat flap.

Katrina was a natural disaster, but the part that made it so different from other hurricanes is not natural at all. It was humans who decided to build a big city below sea level and not adequately maintain the levees.
