regrowing teeth in humans would probably be quite a painful process. I'm not sure if I would subject a human brain to that amount of pain when 80% or so of the functionality of teeth (IE, the whole chewing things) can be recreated using dentures, and more technological dentures means that that last 20% (physical sensation mainly) can be fixed with technology.

But as a matter of scientific gusto, good job chaps.

I don't think it would necessarily be a matter of pitch but the decibels produced by tiny lungs pushing air past tiny focal cords would probably be pretty small. I'd say if you wanted to go the real physics approach, they'd probably be really really quiet. So quiet that few people would be able to understand them, although little kids might, and even then, it would more be a matter of distance to the ears, rather then some nature of the soundwaves "missing" our ears - tiny sound waves just wouldn't propogate through the air as readily as large ones.

But if you're going to go the hardcore biology/physics route, rather then just handwaving that aspect away, I can't imagine a tiny tiny brain, even in a tiny tiny person, would produce anything close to the cognition that we have. Insects have decentralized nervous systems, making their whole body sort of a brain, and they're insects with insect levels of cognition (not a whole lot)

well, jupiter probably has a hundred or so moons, the 4 they mentioned were just the ones discovered by gallileo. i imagine uranus probably has a larger number then 4 as well... and i'm also fairly sure it's more then 4 times larger then earth. Earth is also an "inner planet", making four, not three.

And pluto is not a black hole.

Maybe they don't feel like disappointments. But I imagine, if there lives are really so disappointing to their parents, then they know, and they have enough problems without their dad basically spitting on them. I know I'm a disappointment to my parents, but if my dad did this, I'd probably kill myself. Maybe I'm just a weak weak person that can't see this as a driving force for good, but rather just pathetic.

To the dad:
If you're going to do something like this, raise your kids right the first time. You only get to do it once. You are a horrible father. Even if there's nothing good to say to your friends about your kids, you don't just lament that you have such sucky kids. They're your kids. You raised them the way they are, so consider yourself a disappointment.

What hardships, exactly, were they going to face under Obama? The primary difference, it seems to me, between Obama and Romney was their stance on taxation of the rich. And if the rich face "hardships" due to taxation, seriously, who do they think they are? What species? Your time is still infinitely more valuable in terms of money then anyone else, so please, shut up.

But to get back to my question; what hardships? I know being pissed about a person's lack of voting is not a defense for running them down with their car, so I hope he divorces her and she goes to jail, or a psych ward, but can we please come together and say enough with this bullshit?
