You're missing something. The premise for Deep Thought designing the Earth was because while it could provide the answer to the ultimate question, Deep Thought stated they didn't understand the question, designing Earth to provide that clarification.

I think you seriously over rated that movie. I just watched the entirety on You Tube, and as a western comedic parody, I think not as good as Blazing Saddles, which will probably never be surpassed, since PC excludes any PC racial humor.
As a John Astin fan, I love it. Watching it for the first time in decades, it is refreshing to see it again.
